The owner, Jyoti, has spent many years travelling the world and has accumulated 20 years of hospitality experience throughout her life. Upon returning to Adelaide, Jyoti had a strong vision to create a space where she could translate her overseas experiences onto the plate.
Jyoti is passionate about both day and night time trading, hence Pollen 185 offering different menus for whatever time of day, to suit more customers. Jyoti says, “You can enjoy a smashed avocado for brunch in an energetic vibe or indulge in a cosy, intimate evening with great wine with a $55 degustation menu on offer – we offer it all.” Pollen 185 is a great option whether you’re dining solo, enjoying an intimate dinner or celebrating in a group; boasting an ambience to suit a variety of moods and lifestyles.

All the ingredients are fresh, locally sourced, wholesome and made with love to nourish the soul. Jyoti says, “I love the creativity and freedom when experimenting with seasonal ingredients, this allows me to offer a forever-evolving menu.” One of Jyoti’s favourite dishes is the vegan scramble with baked shrooms and green eggs with jalapeno sauce. But right now, Jyoti is also crushing on roast pear and parsnip ravioli with rosella flower and shallot vinegar – this flavoursome dish is featured on the dinner menu.
Pollen 185 is also known for its coffee, where the organic beans have been roasted locally with almond, brasil and cashew nut mylk, all made in-house. There are also beautiful smoothies, juices (including cold pressed), house-made chutneys and jams on offer.
