Tomich Wine’s City Cellar Door – 87 King William Road, Unley

Fine wines don’t happen overnight – they are created from passion, dedication and exceptional grape quality, according to the team at Tomich Wines. King William Road is home to Tomich Wine’s City Cellar Door, a great way to experience fabulous wine and amazing food with family and friends.

Sophisticated and intimate, the City Cellar Door stands as a bluestone character villa, boasting a warm ambience, creating a memorable experience for all. At just $25 per person, you can take part in a guided wine tasting session from the Tomich Woodside Vineyard, accompanied with local and international seasonal cheeses and produce to complement each wine – a great option for your next ladies’ night! Alternatively, you can simply enjoy a weekend wine on the porch or catch up with colleagues for Friday knock-off drinks.

One of the crowd-favourite wines includes award-winning 2015 Woodside Vineyard Shiraz. Handcrafted from Estate-grown fruit, this crimson cherry red Shiraz boasts vibrant flavours from blackberry, blackcurrant and plum. The fruit quality and intensity of the berries translates into layers of complexity in the wine, producing elegant flavours, good acid balance and exceptional ageing potential. The flavoursome palate displays hints of pepper, spice and chocolate and is best served with roast beef or barbecued meats.

Tomich Wine’s City Cellar Door can also accommodate for your next event. Many corporates choose the Cellar Door as their venue of choice, thanks to the flexibility of the space, the accommodating staff and of course, the amazing wine. With a capacity of 85 people, the space can also be exclusively hired for celebratory occasions.

The Tomich family originates from Croatia where winemaking is a way of life. Jack Tomich Senior migrated in Australia in 1903, bringing all his knowledge of the grape growing and winemaking skills of his forefathers. Randal Tomich is now the proud owner of 200 acres of grapes in the Onkaparinga Valley in the Adelaide Hills. Tomich has been awarded over 180 local, national and international medals for their sustainable wines.

Whether you’re a wine-enthusiast, treating someone special or hosting a function, Tomich Wine’s City Cellar Door is an experience not to be missed. Phone the City Cellar Door on 08 8299 7500 to make an appointment.
